Our first foal of 2015 was born today at 11.30am out in the field… That’s not supposed to happen! She is a maiden mare, so we shall forgive her, and luckily John was keeping a close eye on her and was there to supervise the foaling. She is a beautiful filly by Mount Nelson, out of Bliss Amore (first cousin to the two-time Prix de L’Arc winner Treve).

Kate has just returned from a fascinating and very educational conference, hosted by Rossdales Equine Hospital in Newmarket, on the Non-Pregnant Mare. She is feeling inspired and fully up-to-date with the latest research and techniques, ready for the challenges of the coming stud season.

The mares are under lights getting ready for the start of the breeding season! Our first mare due to foal is Bliss Amore, first cousin to the dual Arc-winning mare Treve. She is in-foal to Mount Nelson and is due 31st January 2015.
