The Plantation Racing Club

2021/2022

Why not come and enjoy all the benefits of owning a racehorse with our Racing Club? You’ll get all the fun of following your horses including regular trainer updates and great days out at the races, with most racecourses providing free meals for owners.

We will have one flat horse and one National Hunt horse racing in the Racing Club’s colours in the 2021/22 seasons:

Extracuricular (GB) 2018 Bay Filly by Coach House (IRE) ex First Term (GB)

Vicki has carried the colours of the Plantation Picnic Club (the racing club’s former name) through last winter and spring, getting a handicap mark before being placed in her first handicap. Her form tailed off towards the summer so she has had a nice break and is back getting ready for a winter campaign on the all-weather and should be running by the beginning of October. She’s now dropped down in handicap ratings so hopefully she can find a nice race or two this season.

Give Me A Moment (IRE) 2015 Bay Gelding by Mountain High (IRE) ex Maryann (IRE)

Monty is another recent purchase from Doncaster sales on 8th September. He is a fine-looking horse and has been bought to run in the colours of The Plantation Racing Club. He has been given an OR of 100, which seems a very fair mark having won over fences in Ireland and run in some big field handicaps. A switch to smaller fields at some of our more local tracks, he looks and feels the perfect horse to provide us with some fun through the winter. He probably won’t want the heavy winter ground but there should be lots of options ahead of us and he’s fit, well and ready to run in a couple of weeks.

All members will receive regular updates, including a members’ only WhatsApp group with video footage straight from the trainer and invitations for gallop’s visits.

An exciting opportunity to be involved with a new syndicate

DIESEL D’ALLIER

A previous winner around the Cross Country Course at Cheltenham in November 2019, and 4th behind Easylands and Tiger Roll in March 2020, this eye catching 8yr old Grey, by Kap Rock is a very exciting Horse to be involved with this season. He has been a consistent horse in France over chase fences and the Cross Country races and has been enjoying a change of scenery since he arrived with us in July. The season ahead will take in the 3 Cross Country races at the home of Jumps racing, Cheltenham, with the first race only 3 weeks away on the 12th of November. The last of the 3 races is during the Cheltenham festival. Remarkably, he is still a novice hurdler so we have options of some very nice staying novice hurdles to break up the season, with a last run at Punchestown also on the radar.

The syndicate will consist of 5 shares in this exciting horse, with 1/5 share of the ownership (£10,000), and training fees and insurance of the horse until the end of the 2021-22 National Hunt season included in a one-off payment. Shares are £14,500 + VAT. Please contact Richard Bandey on 07887 535615 or info@plantationfarm.co.uk for further details.
